BEA Broadcasting & Electronic Media

Eligibility & rules

As the premier international academic media organization, BEA is proud to administer annual scholarships that honor broadcasters and the electronic media profession. These awards support students pursuing excellence in media production, research, and education. Scholarships are awarded to students that will be juniors, seniors and/or graduate students at BEA member institutions. The college or university needs to be a member of BEA. Individual undergraduate or graduate student membership is NOT required to receive a scholarship. Note: Students at two-year institutions who are transferring to BEA four-year colleges and universities are eligible to apply for all undergraduate scholarships. Scholarship Eligibility Applicants are automatically considered for every scholarship for which they are eligible. No extra forms are needed. Scholarship Notifications Scholarship recipients will be announced by mid-December, and the money will be awarded in the summer of 2027, to be applied to the 2027-2028 academic year.
